This morning I received an email from a writer in France congratulating me on winning a poetry fellowship to the Abroad Writers' Conferences. This was news to me. I went to the site--and there is my name, First Place. I hope it's true...

Irons in various fires whistling slightly. As always, I am hopeful. And, as always, totally on edge.

Looking forward to traipsing Wiltshire with Soul Sister and her radical brood. The last time I was at Stonehenge I raced around the monoliths playing 300AD with my sisters and our ADD dog. The Sybil was into action vs. floaty-Druid games and we consistently followed her lead--which over the years has gotten us all into trouble and extremely annoyed The Sybil.
