The reading at Barnes & Noble was exceptionally nice because of the mix of styles and distinct voices. I wish more journals presented diverse work from established and emerging poets rather than pushing One-Aesthetic-For-All. Two Hoir showed and after the reading we discussed poetry journals we admire from afar, whether anyone has actually seen Toluca Lake's lake(s), no politics and should Hoir slam (of course not)--over drinks sans umbrellas in Monsoon's chaotic, dim bar while Scott slept with his eyes open...
