Very sad news about poet Sarah Hannah. She was such an increasingly important light. "Longing Distance" is so creative and canny and unique. Her voice was just taking off.

Very sad news about Alan Shapiro and his dog, Sable. I am so sorry. Santa Barbara won't be the same without them.
